Oberhof is a winter sport location and therefore in spring and summer the hotel prices are reasonable. The hotel is a massive glass and concrete structure shaped like a ski slope and is of late communist era construction. We spent a weekend here as a present for our anniversary, the hotel was really nice the staff were incredibly friendly and the food was good especially in the upper restaurant.
