I hate paying for internet access. That's the only criticism I have of this otherwise fine hotel. Everything else here was great.

The Nestor is a clean hotel about 4 blocks from the train station. It is typical Euro spartan and the room temperature control is incomprehensible. The only way I could get the room cool, was to open the window. The breakfast is expensive at 16 Euros and the wireless Internet is ridiculous at ~12 Euros, since it is lousy. I've...

Rooms were clean and comfortable, the lobby was spacious and the beds were good. We avoided breakfast because of the surprisingly high cost (perhaps that's how they balance the low room rates - along with the wifi costs). It is not too far from the station once you learn the short cuts, and is quite close to the city centre...

The Nestor Hotel-Ludwigsburg is a wonderful hotel in the middle of a gorgeous little city. The rooms are nicely decorated, the bathrooms are immaculate, the hotel staff is attentive and friendly. The hotel is within walking distance of the Schloss and the city center market. The lobby is beautiful, the hotel restaraunt is so inviting! If I am ever back...

I just returned from a week in Ludwigsburg for business and spent 6 nights at the Nestor. This is my first experience in a hotel in Germany, so I was not sure what to expect. Minimalistic would be the word I would use when compared to a North American hotel.

Building originally housed American troops stationed there after WW2. Very recently renovated with tasteful contemporary fixtures and decor. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly, we did get free parking - just had to get our ticket stamped. Buffet breakfast came with our room and was very good, but pretty basic. Relatively easy access to Autobahn, and the Ludwigsburg...

A couple of friends and I were there for Sunday brunch. The hotel is located in what was the bakery of the army barracks at around 1900. The façade and some parts of the building keep the historical look, but the inside is completely modern. Part of the restaurant is situated in a glass conservatory directly annexed to the main...

I recently stayed at this hotel based on tripadvisor recommendations - and have always found tripadvisor to be very accurate - either this is the exception or there is not much else to offer in Ludwigsburg (I have stayed in Stuttgart in the past but was looking for something closer to my business meeting locations). This hotel has a nice...

The hotel is located in a very nice old building, the rooms was big, nice and clean. The breakfast has a big variety of everything, so restaurant is really nice. The location is quite, to walk to center takes about 20 minutes. I would stay in this hotel again.
