I recently spent a long week-end at the Auberge des Montauds, food was very good served on a big terrasse at lunch time, my room was nicely decorated with wood panels, and the hotel was a perfect spot to go biking, being right by the trails of Bois Barbu.

This 'Auberge' is a great place to get away from the bustle. Quaintly decorated, the staff are very welcoming, the food is good (authentic), and the surroundings are ideal for hiking or cross-country skiing in the winter. With trails starting from the Auberge grounds, guests can explore kilometers of Vercors forest and countryside. We would definitely come back.

Well located in beautiful French Alps, only 10 minutes away from skiing slopes and with biking tracks starting at the hotel door, the Auberge des Montauds is cozy French hospitality at its best. Quiet, comfortable, a cocoon-like experience. Try the restaurant, delicious local cousine and unforgettable home-made desserts, specialty of the house.

My family and I stayed twice at the Auberge des Montauds, once last summer and once this winter. It is a great place if you enjoy nature (there are hiking trails starting from the hotel), and want to have a peaceful vacation. In summer our kids played on a big lawn while we were enjoying our meals on the terrasse.... More
