Stayed 5 nights , half board , in this beautiful hotel with companion . Decoration of lobby and two restaurants is incredibly elaborate with lots of antiques . Rooms are well equipped and all have a balcony , sometimes even a large terrasse ( e.g. Room "L'Ardoisier" on the first floor). Food is absolutely gorgious . The most innovative cuisine... More

We are disappointed of this hotel!!!we read all the positive reviews and though it looks all right and the food is ok we didn't spend a good time there! The family that ownes this business has some problems which are felt by the customers also!!!not at all professional and you can't feel the warmth of a small family business cause... More

We had booked 3 nights at this hotel as part of a walking holiday through an English company, We'd chosen to stay 3 rather than 2 as the hotel looked really nice. It was all booked months before. We arrived after a long walk on a hot day looking forward to a shower and a swim, and indeed the hotel... More

We ate here on two nights in September 2010 but we have visited many times over the last 6 years. The resturant never fails to excel. Once again we had a memorable meal on both occasions. We entertained some friends who had not been here before and they were delighted. A good wine list with prices to suit most pockets

The worst hotel stay in the history of my travels: Manager/owner nathalie was rude to me and my spouse; she made it difficult to enjoy our time, the pool was dirty, the restaurant was ill equipped to manage the patrons, the food was ok, there is wifi but no computer to check your mail on; and they where not nice... The food was brilliant, the staff very very friendly, didn't mind if it wasn't an English speaking hotel (although there was staff there who spoke English and were more than happy to help) because it added to the experience! The building itself was beautiful, 5/10 mins away from the snow, would definitely come back here, one of the best hotels... More

Nice spot the only down side is that none really spoke English so we just guest on everything they are talking about/or what ever they mean on the menu. Elsa was such a sweetheart. Merci!

A beautiful traditional French alps hotel. Very clean. Family owned and friendly staff. Less than a 5 minute drive to Chatel, France.
