We have just stayed at this Hotel for One night only, and will most certainly be going back. We only stayed for the night, because we were the back up team for cyclists, riding for pleasure the last four stages of The Tour De France. The room we stayed in had a fantastic look over the mountains, the room was... More

Booked this hotel for megavalanche weekend. It served a purpose but would prefer to have been closer to lift station. Everything was quite shabby and tired. Restaurant was closed. Breakfast was included in the price but poor quality too. More

Stayed there for a night in summer as I had to be in AD the following day. Very nice terrace out front with views over the mountains to the south. Many of the bedrooms have that view too. Rooms are basic and a bit tired but communal areas are pleasant and the staff are very helpful. More

Excellent value. I would recommend this hotel unreservedly. The staff were charming. The breakfast was a treat my only regret was not eating the restaurant for the evening meal as I'm confident it would have reflected the high standard elsewhere in this charming place. More

The owners were most helpful to deal with any issues. they went out of their way to help with something they did not have to do. very good service, even better food. I had a great experience staying here. it definitely exceeded my expectations, 2 star rating is an underestatement. i would stay here again or if can't get a... More

We arrived by bus from Grenoble on Friday afternoon and were given a room on the second floor. It had a double bed, a separate toilet, and a bathroom with a shower, and a balcony facing the mountains and other hotels. I don't normally like the carpets but didn't mind it here because the hotel seemed very clean. We thought... More

I stayed 4 nights in Le Castillan in the second week of January 2010. I had a single room with a balcony facing north (much cheaper). There is free Wifi in the hotel which is great, but there was no table in the room. Fortunately I discovered a plastic table on the balcony which I then used in the room.... More

I'll keep this one short and sweet. The hotel was great with lockers for the skis downstairs, a games room with table tennis, and lovely cosy rooms with nice views on the south side. It is conveniently located in the town centre, and close enough to the bucket lift (telecentre) if you go at the skiing season. There was also... More

My son and I stayed here first week in January 09, selected because of previous TripAdvisor comments. It's all as described in the other reviews: good clean functional rooms (room 33 for us, facing south with a balcony - you should push the boat out for a south-facing room) with a spotlessly clean bathroom and separate toilet; good breakfasts, although... Four of us stayed at Le Castillan for Christmas week. I chose the hotel based on other TA reviews and the price, as we were paying for two rooms. (A single and a triple) The single room was large with a balcony overlooking the mountains -- wonderful! The triple room was a bit of a squeeze for all of us... More
