This is a lovely, 400 year old house that has been fully renovated. When we arrived, Aude very kindly upgraded us to a bigger room with a view of the city below. It was spacious, clean, and quiet. Artwork throughout the house was fabulous and fun to look at. Jean-Lup was extremely helpful in making dinner reservations for both nights... More

We stayed 3 nights here as part of a 30th anniversay celebration trip to France. This was the last of 4 different b & b properties we stayed in and we enjoyed the experience. L'Eveche is built into a quirky and very old building in the cite medievale of Vaison. The ceilings in the ground floor are low and wooden... More

Hidden on a winding and cobbled side-street in the medieval section of Vaison-la-Romaine, L'Eveche is a little stone building packed with everything wonderful. When I walked through the front door I thought I was in an art gallery. Frames with exuberant art popped out from the walls and sucked me in. My husband and I stayed at L'Eveche two years... More

We were privileged to spend two nights at L'Eveche B&B and enjoyed our stay immensely. It was quiet, beautifully decorated and elegantly presided over by the husband and wife owners. One has the sense that one is a guest and the owner is a friend who is sharing his home with you. The entrance to the upper town is a mild... More

L'eveche is a wonderful, quirky place to stay. Located in the medieval village overlooking the town, we were lucky enough to stay in their suite which was really reasonably priced considering it came with the big comfortable rooms, beautiful views and rooftop private terrace. There are a couple of good restaurants nearby which are an easy walk and ample car... More

If you are seeking a standard hotel experience then L'Eveche is not for you. If, however, you like a more intimate and unique vacation, then you won't want to miss a stay at L'Eveche. Vaison la Romaine is an interesting town (particularly the old town) with a large weekly market and pleasant hiking closeby. And the Verdiers will gladly give... More

I waited awhile to write this review because I wanted to make sure of exactly what my impressions were of this hotel/village and that I was fair to all. We had just come from probably the most fun B&B/village (Pezenas) on this month long trip, and I wanted to be sure that I was comparing everything fairly. Vaison la Romaine... More

Aude and I are truly sorry that our guests did not have a beautiful stay in Vaison la Romaine. This village is known well beyond our borders for its historical and cultural heritage. Two days may not have been sufficient to explore not only its roman and medieval past, but also the landscapes and typical Provençals villages that surround it.... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in October. This home is without a doubt absolutely beautiful. Every choice in decorating is so inspired by John L. and Aude. They are terrific hosts that aided us with directions, drives, restaurant choices and even cell phone help. They and their home were among our top highlights of our trip... More

Perfect location, ancient medieval city and building (well maintained), great movie posters and antiques all about. The hosts were perfect, the breakfast room AND the breakfasts had a very nice atmosphere and warm welcoming feeling. The hosts were helpful in planning driving routes and special places to visit. It felt like a movie set, or a time machine to wander... More

Except for the insane driving experience ( 1st day driving a stick shift on midevil footpaths), it's a dream place. After a long dinner and too much wine, we wandered the village. It was 1500! Our room was on Rue L'Eveche. The view was a movie. Food, decor, hosts are perfect. More
