Very cute, clean Alpine lodge feel. The owners and staff are very friendly and the whole place is very relaxed. The continental breakfast was great and so was dinner. The summer crowd it draws is definitely comprised of a lot of cyclists. We would stay here again.

This place is a real find... Found ourselves in La Grave without a reservation after riding down from London that morning on motorbikes. Having come over the top of The Galibier in horizontal sleet and a white-out, was understandably quite keen to find somewhere to stay. Don't be put off by the Edelweiss from the outside, as I nearly was,... More

Hotel Edelweis is a wonderfull place located right in the middle of the big attractions of the Alps (expecially when you like cycling or walking). We really enjoyed our time in La Grave where the hotel staff always greets you with a smile and the food was absolutely Michelin star class. Would we go back, 100% YES.

I have stayed here several times - winter and summer and highly reccomend it. Great location near to shops and ski lift but away from the main road. Marlon and Robin really make you feel welcome. Atmospheric bar, chat and nibble on the toasts and crudités before dinner. Big open fire with deep settees. Great food. Rooms are spotlessly clean.... More

We have stayed here every 4 years since 2004 and it gets better every time. The hotel has an excellent location, short walking distance to skilift ,shops and riverside. It has a very nice south facing terrace,a lively small bar,a particularly good restaurant and simple but well laid out rooms with great beds and nice clean bathrooms. In the morning the breakfast... I really enjoyed the stay in this hotel. The food was extremely good, even more the wines. You get to decide among different choices in a three course menu. And believe me, there is no wrong decision. You'll lick your fingers afterwards. The rooms are clean, spacey enough, but a little bit old. The only thing that needs renovations (old... More

My friends stayed here two years ago during the Tour, and cycled all the major climbs in the area over three days. Marlon and Robin were incredible hosts. Robin provided us with cycling routes and mechanical support. The accomodations were just fine, the food and drink off the charts. The views are heavenly. We are coming back some day! Brian... More

L'Edelweisss is a wonderful cosy mountain hotel. Super five star view on La Meije (3984 m) and surrouding peaks and glaciers. Excellent wining and dining. Marlon (Dutch) & Robin (Scottish) and their crew make you feel perfectly at home in a sympathetic international atmosphere. It's place for everyone who's interested in (mountain ) activities like hiking, climbing and mountain biking.... More

We have had a lovely time in this hotel. The quality of the room and of the bed was really good. Silence during the evening. TV in the bedroom. Clean bathroom with a bath. Very nice welcome on arrival. Very nice view of the Meije. I would advice this hotel to anybody going to the Grave. Spa available for relaxing... More
