The room was OK although maintenance is poor; our bathroom door wouldn't close and the porch light didn't work. Other than a very cheery greeting from the receptionist, the stay was a bit of a let down. The room looked very tired, albeit clean but the biggest down side was that smokers had clearly been staying in the room and there was the smell of stale smoke.

Unfortunately we have just booked in to this place. I can't say the rooms are dirty they have obviously been cleaned. The bedding and the towels look clean but we won't be using the pillows as the have no covers underneath the pillowcases. We always travel with our own! We booked in for a weekend to escape the Olympics. We are seasoned Campanile guests and love the usually excellent service and food. However....Service was dreadful - we booked dinner on the terrace when we arrived, only to be told when we went to the restaurant that it "wasn't possible". We stayed at the Campanile to spend the night on our road trip through the Somme area. Found it perfect for what we were doing and easy to find. Staff was nice and breakfast good.
