Second time I've stayed at this hotel, this time at the bargain price of 37.50 euros pppn. It's basic but clean and tidy, as you might expect. We booked a garage as well which, at 7 euros per night, was very handy. The breakfast buffet is good – my child was enchanted at cooking her own bacon on a nifty... More

We were not expecting a huge amount from this place given its unprepossesing exterior, however we were pleasantly surprised. While it is by no means the Ritz, the rooms and bathrooms were clean and airy and the beds extremely comfy. The staff were friendly, giving each a double ensuite rather than the two single rooms we’d reserved, and recommending a... More

Cold rooms with inadequate heating. Unhelpful staff. Very poor breakfast. We've voted with our feet. I fell in the bathroom, hurt myself quite badly and the staff asked me what I wanted them to do about it - couldn't care less attitude. Reception not open on arrival. Receptionist smiled but unhelpful at all times. Far too many stairs for a... More

Make sure you arrive when the hotel is actually open! We have used this hotel for about the last 12 years as a final stop on our French travels .As a sea port Calais is obviously not the nicest of places, however in recent years it has slipped further with more and more undesirable types wondering around the town. The... More

The hotel is centrally located and handy for bars and restaurants. It is clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful. However it is very much a two-star place - a little dated and quite cramped. There is (limited) secure parking across the street for which a small charge is made, but well worth it for peace of mind... More

A tired hotel that needs money spent on it. In a reasonable position for the ferry but that's all you can say. It could be good if it was updated and cleaned up. However, the girl on the reception was very pleasant. Just didn't realise what a dump Calais is!

We use this hotel as a stop-off so spent one night here. It is very well situated for the many bars and restaurants close to the front. The room, although clean, was poorly finished, and dirt was starting to accumulate in grouting and the room edges. Bed not very comfy, and the plastic mattress cover had to be removed to... More

A very basic, not terribly clean, hotel. My view of it was only worsened by the atrocious attitude of the waitress on breakfast duty, who couldn't be bothered to open on time despite clearly having customers waiting. I've stayed at other places in Calais - sadly they were fully booked this week. If this is the only option next time... More

The hotel was quite central, nice and quiet and the staff were friendly. the price was very good 90 euros for 3 adults 2 children. The room (14) had en suite facilities and television with English channels, the hotel was decorated inn neutral colours with a bar and seating area for breakfast.

I fetched up here after a foul journey from the UK and was fortunate to get the last available room. This would have held three people, but the price was still reasonable. Quite adequate and I would stay again.
