The owner was very helpful and went out of his way to make us feel at home. I recommend staying for a evening meal at least once during your stay, the food is tasty and plentiful. Les Ruisseaux - a firm recommendation.

We arrived here in pouring rain after traversing the Pyrenees from Spain, via the Bielsa tunnel, where we had enjoyed a week of delightful, warm sunny weather. Les Ruisseaux is several kilometres from Cauterets or any other town or village and, I am sure a wonderful location for hiking in the moutains. In the rain, with clouds down over the... More

We stayed at Les Ruisseaux for four nights in August this year. The location is amazing. So much to do even in the summer with many ski lifts open, which we used to explore the beautiful mountains. The lifts themselves were thrilling and our 7 year old daughter loved every minute. The house is gorgeous and we had a beautiful... More

We loved staying at Les Ruisseaux. The house was comfortable and very quiet, and the hosts were so nice. The two dinners we had were delicious. We really enjoyed the hikes they recommended, in the Pont d'Espagne area and at Pic d'Anie near Gavarnie. It's a bit of a haul lugging your things up a short driveway and up the... More

I can not say enough about this wonderful little gem in the mountians. My husband and I were in town for the Tour de France and only stayed 2 nights but would have loved to stay longer. This was our first experience with a B&B in Europe and it was wonderful. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. And dinner it... More

We spent a week at Les Ruisseaux in September 2009. It was ideal. We used it as a base for exploring the Cauterets area. Our room was spacious and well furnished, and perfect for unwinding after a long day on the trails. Our hosts, Peter, Glenn, and Andrew went out of their way to attend to our every need. We... More

The approach to the house from the north is ok but coming from the south, the gate is easy to miss. Parking is on the drive but not a problem. Once inside we were welcomed and made to feel at home. The room we had was newly referbished and of top quality. We had a meal in the evening and... More

Stayed here for a week. The inn keepers are British, very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, perfect for exploring Cauterets, Gavernie, etc. Rooms are very nice, clean, and rustic. Dinner is offered on most days, and from our experience was very good (one of the inn keepers is a chef). Games are on hand for entertainment, and there's... More

Have just returned from a long weekend at Les Ruisseaux. It is a uniquely situated house in a wonderful elevated position. Our room was very comfortable and spacious, with the added bonus of hearing the wonderful sound of the river outside! The evening meals are fantastic value as well as being very tasty and beautifully presented. There is also a... More
