The hotel itself is early 20th century well preserved, stylish building. The rooms are fine, service is great. Amenities are fine - a fridge and internet. Yes, the walls are a bit thin. But everything else, including the location is really amazing.

The Hotel Pallanza is excellent value, the staff are courteous and efficient and there are wonderful views of the lake, the mountains and the snow-covered Alps from most of the front rooms. On the downside, there is no restaurant, apart from the breakfast room,and the bar next door is a very eccentric place offering little in the way of mourishment... More

We had originally booked into the San Gottardo but as the Pallanza is 4* as opposed to 3* we were "upgraded" for free. From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel welcome. Staff were excellent and could not do enough to help. Fantastic restaurant and bar recommendations, everything was just perfect. Great location on the lake front, excellent breakfast. I`m definitely going back there again soon!

We were sent to this hotel from the next-door Belvedere, which was overbooked. The same group manages three hotels in a row. Really nice hotel and area but the food in the nearby restaurants was average and very tourist orientated. The room overlooked the lake and was NOT noisy. It was very clean and the breakfast was good. There is plenty to see within walking distance and a nice beach. I would stay here again.
