Very helpful staff, large free parking in front of the hotel, perfect location for visiting the ancient sites around. Five minutes walk to the Solfatara volcano, which results in sulphur smell in the air most of the evenings but it's not unpleasant once one gets accustomed ;) Nice clean rooms, good buffet breakfast, friendly atmosphere. More

The previous reviews mention the street noise and the fact that the parking lot in front of the room is used for noisy big rig truck parking, which is true. But Italy is a noisy place! But the room was big and clean, our balcony was huge with a stunning view of the bay, the buffett was nicer than many... More

You will get a lot of traffic noise at the front of this hotel (where the views are) – despite it being set back some 25m or so from the road by a forecourt. How another reviewer can say it's in "una zona tranquilla" is beyond me. The road is a main coastal route and is very busy every hour... More

We stayed at the Solfatara in mid August 2007. It is in Pozzuoli, about a 20 minute metro ride outside of Naples.This is a great hotel. The rooms are large (we are a family of 4). It is located on the side of the Solfatara volcano so there is a strong sulfur smell, but closing the windows reduces the smell... More
