The hotel is located in a pretty little cobbled square in the centre of Malcesine, a short distance from the lake and 5 minutes walk from the cable car to Monte Baldo. Because of the central location there is a certain amount of street noise if you leave the windows open but the double glazing is almost completely sound-proof and... More

When holiday-makers are researching hotels, and yes you should always do SOME research! they generally fall into two basic categories; those who want a "destination hotel" (sorry for the marketing-speak), and those who want a simple, clean base from which they can get out-and-about to explore and dine. This hotel falls very clearly into the latter category. The location is excellent,... More

We booked this hotel to attend a wedding in Malchesine. Its in a great Location. Actually for the price we liked our room - it was just large enough. Clean, good powerful shower. We had a small lake view from the window but we where on the top floor 405. We weren't bothered about a view but if you are... More

We stayed here for a week in August, half board with Inghams. Room number 205, I think, good size with a good shower room, and a small balcony from which we could see left up Monte Baldo, and right to a small section of the lake. We found the breakfasts fine, good coffee, and delicious little brown rolls, as well... More

We got a late (and thus very cheap) package deal at this hotel through Inghams. Our room was on the 1st floor at the back of the hotel overlooking the kitchen and it was very dark and airless, and was also a bit noisy in the evening. However, several guests who were at the front of the hotel complained about... More

We have recently spent a week on Lake Garda in the beautiful,Malcesine, stunning scenery, everywhere you look, exceeded all our expectations, photographs do not do this place justice! We chose to stay at the Hotel Lago Di Garda, which is located in a lovely little cobbled square, a short walk to the lake down delightful little streets! However, we found... More

Hi all, We stayed at this hotel for 1 week. We found the location very central but you won't see the lake as it's at the mount baldo side if town. The rooms are basic but we felt location was more important. The rooms have recently being upgraded and u can see. They are compact but u won't get tea... More

Stayed here for three nights in July 2011 on a romantic getaway in Malcesine. The location was excellent, the room was clean, bathroom was in excellent condition. We stayed in the 4th floor and had a balcony with view over the rooftops - loved it. The walls were quit thin, we could hear too well what was going on in... More

I totally agree with all the latest comments on the Lago di Garda Hotel. My husband took me away for a short break for my Birthday in July of this year. We were told the hotel had recently been refurbished therefore was not in this year's brochure but would be again for 2012.- I was really looking forward to it.... More

I have to agree with the majority of comments on here about this hotel. Yes, it has been renovated and the rooms are clean. However, the pales into insignificance when you look at the dreadful attitude of the staff and owners who clearly do not want you there. It is clear that the management rule the place with a rod...
