Fabulous hotel, great cuisine, superb service and very central location in the Abruzzo area.
shower is a let down. Great large comfortable rooms. Bad Wi-fi coverage.
The Castle is a dream on top of a hill, like a fairy tale come true.

A little more expensive than some other options but an incredible value and indelible experience. The castle is wonderfully restored with drop dead views from every vantage point. Add impeccable attention to detail and a staff that goes the extra mile (thank you Leonardo and Luca) for every request, and you have The Castello Chiola experience. One that will make...

Castello Chiola is a hotel I will return to!
Great value for the money. Room & board, reasonably priced. The rooms, large, mostly updated, clean--some of them sumptuous! The restaurant, beautiful as well as a cosy, warm atmosphere. The food, good, much of it local, and innovative. The service/staff, excellent. Obviously, a hotel under excellent, savvy direction.

The castle is beautiful and is very well maintained. Whilst quite small, the swimming pool is lovely and again you have fantastic views from the decking.
Breakfast was great - a simple but...

My wife, son and I stayed at Castello Chiola for only one night as we were driving down to Puglia. Though the room was a bit shabby, the price was very good. However, what makes the hotel really shine is its staff, all of who were extremely kind and helpful. Even when I had to abandon diner due to our...

My two 17 year-old sons and I spent the last few nights of our Italian vacation here at the Castello Chiola in Loreto Aprutino. It was close (fairly) to the Gran Sasso park and we wanted to do some hiking. The "Castle" staff was very friendly and accommodating. Relaxed atmosphere here; not at all stuffy as the staff is generally...
