I come to Ferrara once a year on business, and always rest my head at Locanda Borgonuovo. The rooms are simple, clean, and the Orlandini family really welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is always enjoyable, since Signora Orlandini makes a great deal of the jams and marmalades (always based on local ingredients, and always good).

The location absolutely couldn't have been better - yards from the castle and right in the pedestrian shopping area. We had one of the apartments in the neighboring building. This small B and B is well located. The srooms are comfortable and spacious. The best reason for staying here, however, is the proprietor, a lovely woman and art lover who will steer you to all of her favourite sites. Her recommendations for restaruants and museums are impeccable. She loves Ferrara and so will you after taking her suggestions.
