For all who travel through the wider Milan area the North of Lombardia seems to be an endless repetition of industrial area, shopping centers, residential areas and highways. If they are not there for work, most people are happy to get through it as rapidly as possible. Castello di Casiglio is a reason to stay and to feel very comfortable.... More

Castello di Casiglio, founded in the X century is located in a green area of Brianza, near Como Lake, in what is now the park. In 1985, the castle was completely restored and expanded, without changing the medieval style. At present the building of the castle is used as a hotel. Originality and elegance of each room impresses tourists every... More

We had the good fortune to stay at Castello di Casiglio in October when we were in Italy scoping out wedding properties in Northern and Central Italy for our clients. We were assessing the properties as wedding planners and also as guests. If you are looking for a beautiful location to host a wedding, look no further particularly if you've... More

We stayed while exploring the lakes. Hotel was quiet as off season but it was still a pleasant hotel. Set in a series of old buildings with corridors of antique furniture the place feels like a spooky atmospheric hotel from a Sherlock holmes novel with an Italian background! The room was adequate and clean. The bathroom was great - excellent... More

Scary place with dirty, dim and desperate rooms. Complained one night about everything and got moved to a "suite": even the topmost room is a mere 3 star with horrible beds, telephone wires all over the place etc etc. One too many so called castle with no historic importance whatsoever. Stay away even if you have to sleep in your... More

I stayed here for 2 nights in August 2010. I instantly loved the castle building and found the staff very friendly and helpful. All were excellent at speaking English. They showed us to our room on the 3rd floor, in the attic. The 3 windows were at floor level with one velux in the roof, I was not happy at... More

We booked for one night during a weekend we spent at Lago di Como. The hotel is located approx. 15 km south of Lago di Como. The place is a refurbished kind of castle. Very nice and lovely details. The standard rooms are relatively small but it is perfectly sufficient. The bathroom was quite new, but no bathtub but just... More

Just spent 5 days at this hotel. Hotel staff were excellent. Spacious room. Good fixed price meal in the evening. Big pool kept at just the right temperature (chilly) to jump into after a hot day travelling around. Located between Como and Lecco, it is easy to reach all parts of the Lake. The hotel does host wedding receptions and... More

Hotel is physically great and in a good location in itself, although Erba is a bit of a dump and, beware, nowhere near Lake Como. However the staff are indifferent and disinterested, customer service is perfunctory to say the least; there is no attention to detail or warmth or effort put in. The key reason and problem: THIS IS A... More

I just recently returned from staying at the Hotel Castello Di Casiglio. I was with my partner and children and a friend and was looking forward to a stay in a lovely hotel. We arrived to be told that the connecting rooms we had asked for ,and been assured were free, were now not available and they were planning to... More

Dear Sirs, I am really sorry if you felt not welcome in our hotel and we will do some check on the staff who was working during your stay about the delay in serving the second bottle of wine and about the staff pool party. About breakfast I want to let all know that is not served in a "cave"... More
