The Col Alto is at the top of its game for ski resort hotels, though it has to be said that it's in a village that is up to its neck in sumptuous hotels! We had a mini suite in the new part of the hotel, which is connected to the old via an underground corridor: this can be a... More

Very nice hotel with big, charming and clean rooms! The SPA area offers a swimming pool, jacuzzi, several saunas and relaxing rooms. Even during the busiest time you were sometimes all by yourself in the sauna and could relax quietly. Great food with a lot of options (big salad or breakfast buffet). We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel... More

I've just returned from a week skiing in Corvara. We stayed at the Col Alto and everything about it was great, except for the food. The staff were really friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Then there was the food. We ate in for the first 4 evenings and then couldn't stomach it any longer. Wednesday we... More

We stayed for a week's skiing in Feb 2011; liked the hotel and the ski area so much that it was a surprisingly easy decision to go back this year - which we very rarely do. Likewise took a half-board package - again very rare for us - and enjoyed as much variety and quality of dinner as last year.... More

Very efficient and welcoming staff. Contemporary reception and lounge with a very unique bar. Food and service very good. Spacious bedrooms with plenty of storage and hangers. One minor negative is the old fashioned wall mounted hair dryer in the bathroom. The hotel should consider replacing these with more modern hand held hair dryers. However, as I said a minor... More

We stayed in Col Alto for 5 days in February 2012 and had a great time. Colvara and the Dolomites are a stunning region for skiing with dozens of lifts and new experiences every day. What blew us has been the extremely friendly, family-run hotel with excellent food, a nice bar, a great wellness area with pool, saunas, modest prices... More

I've skied a lot in my life, in many different places around Europe, and Corvara tops every location I've ever been to before. The mountains are stunning, the views breath taking and you can actually ski a whole week w/o having to be on the same slope twice. As it is with most skiing holidays, you end up spending lots... Having been a lifelong skier in the France and Austria being convinced to try Italy was not an easy task. I'm pleased to say I've been converted to Italy, Corvara and Col Alto. This is the ski holiday I've been looking for. The hotel itself is better than anywhere I've stayed in France and this really makes the entire ski... More

I am from Australia and my family and I traveled a long way to come Ski in Corvara, Italy. Our experience staying at the Hotel Col Alto was absolutely perfect. The service was friendly, helpful and made our stay extra special. The living conditions are some of the finest I have stayed in. The rooms are spacious and kept in... More

While there are many places to choose from for a ski vacation, I ended up in Corvara in the Italian Alps and there is no better place to stay than Hotel Col Alto. As a way of background, the Dolomiti Superski Area consists of 12 ski resorts, 450 lifts, and 1,220 km of slopes - all on one reasonably priced... More
