We spent peaceful six nights in N1 Suite: large bedroom, separate sitting room and very modern bath. Could have stayed a month at Edith's "house"! She had great suggestions for local restaurants and activities, including Etruscan ruins you can walk to. Excellent breakfast cakes to get you started in the morning. (I usually had 2 pieces..) Make sure you ask... More

this idyllic little spot is tucked in the rolling hills just south of the beautiful village of castellina-in-chianti. it was hard to stop gazing at the 360 degree views. it is located on a dirt road two minutes off rt. 222, the main two-lane road through the chianti region, 20 minutes from siena and 40 minutes from florence. perfect location.... This place is an absolute gem. Stayed for three nights, and wish it could have been more! Beautiful scenery, gracious host, and wonderful rooms! The perfect distance for day trips into Florence, about an hour away. But far enough off the beaten path to be secluded from everything around us. Be sure to take the cooking class if you have... We loved our stay here for 2 nights while we were on our honeymoon last June. The room was charming, very relaxing, and the food was delicious! More

We could not have imagined a better place to stay than at this remote Villa, with so much history and charm. Our only regret was not staying there for our whole trip... The best things we remember about this lovely place: - The smell of rosemary bushes delighting our senses as we walked through the property - Picking fresh figs... More

Edith made us felt very welcome. She spoke fluent German and very good English which made that we could converse freely with her to learn more about the area. We were the first guests of the season and only ones around that weekend, so she kindly upgraded us to the suite for free. Rooms are decorated simply and homely, full... More

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our Italian adventure in mid-October. It was perfect. The room (room #3) was spacious, clean, large bathroom & shower. The grounds were beautiful and the common areas were nice as well. The home-cooked meal that Edith and others prepared was probably the best we had on our... More

This place is marvelous, the country setting and the welcoming atmosphere will defiantly make you feel comfortable once you arrive. Location: perfect to explore Chianti, it was our base to St. Gimminiano, Le crete, Greve, Siena, Florence, Radda, Gaiole, Panzano, …etc. If you decide to go old fashion and use maps versus renting a GPS, it’s absolutely fine, just make... We spend 4 beautiful nights in this wonderful property. It is located in the middle of Chianti couple km from Castellina. You have to go 2 km on dusty road which already gives you "local" feel. The property is built in the same style as all houses in Chianti. Our suite was located on ground floor with actually 3 separate... More

This was the 1st hotel of our 2011 tandem cycling holiday in the Chianti / Siena region. So today was the initial test of the Tuscan terrain, heat and our fitness. Setting off from Impruneta the riding was easy until we had our 1st climb out of Greve up to Panzano. After stopping for lunch in the shaded square we... More
