Central hotel. ‘Valet’ type car parking for €20 per day which is definitely worth it having driven around to find the hotel. It’s worth noting that as the hotel is ‘in’ the ‘no car drive zone’ - as you are staying, you can drive in all of these areas; the number plate is then reported so that you won’t receive a fine… GOOD Character Deluxe Double room with amazing air con - effective and quiet. Big window in main bedroom and bathroom letting in lots of light. Mini fridge in room which we kept some of our stuff in. Several places to get breakfast just outside the door as hotel was very centrally located but I was getting fed up of pastries! Requested quiet room and it was, despite lots of bars around. NOT QUITE SO GOOD… Nowhere to put luggage or open your suitcase - just one very tiny luggage rack which you couldn’t even open a normal size suitcase. No seating area - room quite compact. It’s called the ‘ Graziella Patio Hotel’ but there is no patio or terrace to sit. SUMMARY We loved Arezzo; seemed a good mixture of tourists and locals, architecture, shops, bars and restaurants.

Centrally located with 5-15 minute walk to most major attractions. Shopping and many restaurants nearby. Main square a five minute walk. Rooms are decorated in funky colours- if you don’t like bright and vibrant pick a different spot. We got upgraded to junior suite and it was great - comfortable bed, separate sitting area, modern bathroom. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful.

I like to start on the positive, the location is great. Central to everything within few minutes walk, a little tricky to get to by car but no different to any other historical town. The staff were lovely and helpful, but then realised that the lady running the breakfast is also the housekeeper and I think that says a lot. This hotel may have been 4stars a long time ago, but now it has sunk down to 2 starts, it is in need of a major refurbishment. We had a fairly spacious room for 3 people, but the colour scheme must have been painted by a colour blind painter on an acid trip! It was painted in lolly pink and sunshine yellow with contrasting skirting in mauve and brown! The fan in the bathroom was running all the time, making this suctions noise day and night! The breakfast was horrid! The same slices of cheese and ham were presented every morning, until the hedges started curling. On our floor there was a water dispenser, with the most horrid plastic cups, which were communal to everyone on the same floor! My advice to the owner, which lives in the hotel, is to take a road trip and visit other 4 star hotels to compare what is out there, because with the right refurbishment and the location the hotel would be a wonderful asset to Arezzo..

Perfectly positioned in the old town centre. Private car parking by valet service (no parking in town). Small air conditioned room with free WiFi and complimentary Apple laptop! Breakfast room, no restaurant but plenty of choice within minutes. Everything of note within easy walking distance.

Graziella Patio Hotel has a great location in the middle of all Arrezzo’s old town, sights, restaurants and shopping streets. Everything is nearby. Standard room for two was very little and also the bed was smallish so if you are planning to stay more than one night I would suggest a bigger room unless you are travelling alone. Bathroom was bigger and slippers were nice surprise. There were also fresh fruit in the room as a welcoming gift. And if you want to make coffee, there are coffee making facilities outside the room in the hall. This hotel has an elevator which is great. During our week in Tuscany we stayed mostly in old palazzos and this one was the only one with elevator. Our room did not have any kind of view (or did to down stairs to reception lobby), but since we needed the room only for one night's sleep, we did not mind. They had wi-fi but we did not manage to make it work in our mobile phones or our own computer (iPhone XS and Huawei and Mac Book Pro). Also our own internet connection was little bit weak in our room. But there was a little Mac Book in the room, so maybe the wi-fi works better with that (We did not try that). TV signal was also missing. Breakfast was quite good with bread, croissants, cold cuts, different cheeses (also mozzarella) fresh berries and fruit, yogurt, granola, and of course sweet pastry in Italian style. They also had lot of different kinds of juices, coffee and tea. They do not have free parking, but the nearest parking lot was about 300 meters from the hotel (20 euros per 24 hours, five euros discount for hotel’s guest). And you can drive to the hotel to drop off your luggage. Staff was friendly and helpful.

There is no hotel more centrally located in Arezzo. Nice re-furbished rooms,a bit small but nice & quiet also. They could not get our iPhones connected to their WiFi but the internet worked on our computers. They took our car & parked it for us. Driving in this area is prohibited however going to the hotel is OK.

Graziella Patio Hotel was all we hoped for when looking for a hotel in Arezzo to use for our home base while touring Tuscany. It's situated in a very nice 16th century building in the heart of the medieval town center. Its central location is a short walk to the train station and close to many lovely restaurants, an upscale shopping area and churches in a cobblestone mostly pedestrian area. Parking can be tricky so we opted to use the 20 euro/day valet parking and it was worth every penny. When you choose to stay in a medieval town you should realize that streets are narrow with many pedestrian areas and driving is difficult, so you work with it as best you can and not complain about it. Our rooms were comfortable and charmingly decorated. We did have room 105 and it sometimes was a little noisy from the tenants upstairs but it was nothing we couldn't deal with. Everything was immaculately clean. The sheets seemed to be changed almost daily and the fresh, white towels were large and absorbent and also changed every day, although it was not necessary. Toiletries were nice and there was a bowl of fresh fruit in the room for us. Sally made us feel very welcome every morning as she took our breakfast drink orders. Breakfasts offered an assortment of yogurt, breads, WONDERFUL plain cakes and tarts, muffins, cold cuts, cereal and fruit. It was nicely presented and everyone should find something to suit their palates. Our hosts, Cinzia, Antonella and Cinzia II were pleasant and very helpful answering our questions and fulfilling our requests. I highly recommend Graziella Patio Hotel when visiting Tuscany!

Fantastic location, but both rooms that we had were terrible. The first one was VERY noise because of the people living upstairs (there is a private apartment just on top of 105). The rooms that we got on the 2nd day was a damp hole! They called it a suite, but it was a dark room without a seating area and with fungus in the bathroom. Wifi hardly worked. Breakfast was a shame (no fresh fruit when you arrive after 9am, no boiled eggs anymore). Except for one boy the staff was terrible and not willing to help. What a disappointment!
