I loved this hotel stay from beginning to end- although I wish it had been a lot longer. We arrived late at night (the 1 hour drive from DPS to the hotel seemed like ages as we had just come from the Amanjiwo in Java). In addition to our customary welcome drink we also received a welcome chicken pie! That... More

Wonderful on every level, friendly reception on arrival, excellent service and serenity pure. Spent 2 nights in January 2012 and made ample use of the spa facilities. Villa resort with 2-storey villas which give a real feel of Balinese culture. Service was superb as one would expect at an Aman resort, but over and above it leaves you with a... More

We stayed at the Amandari in July 2011 and it vastly exceeded our expectations. It is an oasis of serenity and beauty that will live in our minds forever. The hotel staff went our of its way to arrange interesting activities and experiences. Our three most memorable experiences were as follows: 1. The authentic Bali dancers and musicians performing the... More

Reminded me a bit of the animated film, like a peek into a surreal parallel world. The setting is in a local village and almost feels like your living in a temple itself, actually I think it is a temple of some sort as the village use a part of it for their celebrations and the annual birthday of the... More than any other place I've ever been, arriving here from the airport just had me drop my jaw. Spectacular. After all the mixed reviews I've been reading about Amandari being dated, I wasn't really quite prepared for this. The photos I've come across makes it look sort of flat and insignificant, not as impressive as the other Bali Amans.... More

We had dinner there..they chef some out to say hello and welcome us. In addition, the spri g chicken dish was spectacular. There are only 11 villas so we stayed at Four Seasons but preferred the food here. More

This place is a dream. Everything is perfect and reflects the local Balinese culture. You are met by two young Balinese girls in costume. The are statues everywhere. The place is perched on the side of a dramatic river gorge. The staff will do anything for you. You get your own compound not a room. Food was excellent. Quiet and... More

I stayed with my husband and 2 sons (9 and 13). We were lucky to be there during a major festival week-end so we had the added pleasure of seeing Ubud "dressed in it's finest" for the holiday. We had the villa with the lofted bedroom and the boys each had their own, very amply sized daybed made up for... More
