Comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Parking space right outside. The owners were friendly and helpful both at booking in and breakfast. It's on a bus route with regular buses to town and The Headland. More

The Marina and all the shops restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance. The Hotel itself is very cosy with a nice french restaurant and bar for a late night... More

Judging by the other reviews people either love or hate this hotel. I love it. Yes you have to park round the back - not a problem. No its not ultra modern. It doesn't look much from the outside. Inside I like the slightly unusual traditional style of the place. Some would say its dated but it is homely, warm,... More

This is definitely a case of style over substance. We booked this after seeing the website which is very impressive, it even has a soundtrack set to music telling you about hao good the restaurant is. The rooms weren't cheap, but they offered a 2-course meal for £9.50 for residents which seemed a good deal given that the food was... More

We stayed at the York for a weekend and the couple who owned the hotel werre so lovely, nothing was too much. They were very helpful with sightseeing advice, tips on where to go and what to do and even offered to take us to the location where we were meeting up with some old friends. The hotel is not...
