Stayed at the Wimslow on 2 occasions whilst on Business in Morecambe, both times accompanied by my wife. Dave & Paula the owners, are good hosts and very attentive. I can only speak for room 10 because we stayed in it on both visits. It is a very modern and clinically clean room with a huge on-suite shower room and... More

Last time we stayed, we were impressed with the friendliness of the owners - Paula and Dave, the cleanliness of the Wimslow and the breakfasts. One of us is a vegetarian and the other not, but the breakfasts served to us were both equally very good. As a previous reviewer commented, the granary toast is great. We were also pleased... More

I'm Blushing! Dave and I are working hard towards bringing our grand old victorian pile up to date without losing the character. I'm glad you like our improvements and rest assured we have not finished yet. We love looking after folk at breakfast and we will only put in front of our guests what we are happy to eat ourselves... We were welcomed by Dave and Paula on arrival with a pot of tea and a friendly chat,we had never met them before but we felt as though we were meeting old friends. We are cyclists and vegetarians so we needed safe storage for our cycles and a special diet , all our needs were met .The room was clean and... We get some super folk through - these chaps were no exception and are the reason we get so much pleasure from running our guesthouse. We will always try and do our best for anyone with special dietry requirements if we get advanced notice as these lovely folk gave us. We now have a new bike store to put the... More

Having stayed at the Wimslow several times before with the previous proprietors, we expected our stay to be a good one. I cannot fault the hotel nor its surroundings but find the new owners to be rather self righteous and plain rude. I can say that after this visit, my family and I will be looking into a more welcoming... More

A sunny February morning, and enjoyed breakfast in the first floor dining room with spectacular views across Morecambe Bay to snow-capped Lakeland hills. Wonderful! Excellent breakfast too, and very welcoming proprietors. Bedroom was clean and warm, and very comfortable. We visit Morecambe regularly to see elderly relatives, and have stayed in many of the Hotels and Guest Houses. This is... More

Excellent overnight stop - a pity that we couldn't stay for longer. Friendly, helpful, clean, with wonderful breakfast and fabulous view over the bay.

The room was not very big, and the bathroom was even smaller. We had a room with a view over the bay which was stunning, the only drawback was the fact that it was a very hot weekend so we had to have the windows wide open and it was a bit noisy. The room was clean and the breakfast... More

Unfortunately we are limited by room sizes in such an old house. There are other B&Bs that have sea view rooms which are much larger, but this is reflected in the price. We have addressed the Wi-fi and now have good reception on all floors. Thank you for the constructive comments. More

The owners are lovely! Really friendly and accomodating. For the price, this is really excellent value. The room was neat and tidy, as were the public areas. The views over the Bay from both the lounge and dining room at breakfast are truly stunning! Location wise - a 15-20 min walk has you in the heart of Morecambe, so if... More
