On a trip up to the lakes, called into The Midland for lunch on Friday, had an excellent Tapas, some drinks, suprisingly well priced. Will definately go back , the view was wonderful. Staff very friendly. The decor is very Art Deco, furnishings beautiful, rugs amazing, well worth a visit. The walk on the pier is beautiful.

Slipped up here last month for a night what a transformation! Wehad our wedding reception here 32 years ago and it was such a beautiful hotel and we were saddened to see it fall into disrepair and believe it actually closed down for a number of years,so we astounded to read about the opening of this icon again and how... Came here for a bite and a couple drinks. Enjoyed the retro furniture, bar and lovely views. The walk around the waterfront nearby was nice too.

Very interesting bar and cafe restored to its 1920's design. Complete with Don Draper-esque sign fonts, vinyl wallpaper and 1920's music playing in the background. Recommended for a drink overlooking the bay.

Just come back from a two night break at the Midland for my Mum's and my birthday. It feels like a really special place, the staff were great and we had a lovely evening meal. Breakfast was also good Can't wait to go back!

At this hotel you will be transported to the 1940's opulence with every modern day accessories. The sweeping staircase is to be marvelled at and the view is stunning. Having just reserved a table for afternoon tea, which was so classy and delicious, to suit varied tastes, I was thrilled by the standard of service and food presentation. This hotel... More

I loved the sea view room. Lasty time we had to be in the public areas to enjoy it but the balcony and window by the bed made it such a wonderful experience. All but one member of staff were absolutely friendly and curteous all the time.( The one who wasn't was pregnant so perhaps she had an excuse!) The... More

I stayed in a feature room in April. The views from the room were absolutely stunning - a beautiful panorama of morecambe bay. There is no traffic and all I could hear was the sound of sea birds. This should have set the agenda for a wonderful experience, but they were a few irritating design faults. It was a rare... More

this hotel is a shining beacon in a town which is really rather drear. Morecambe is slowly trying to pull itself out of the mud and the area immediately around The Midland is I hope a great example of the way they are going. The hotel has exciting decor if you like a touch of "art nouveau" go on their... More

We stopped off at The Midland for a coffee break - spectacular view over the bay (the tide was in!) Good coffee and friendly staff. Toilets a bit difficult to locate however.
