Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent accomodations!! This was the cleanest place we've stayed on our 19 day trip through the UK. Richard is a wonderful host. He's very friendly, helpful, and provided a delicious made to order breakfast. The room was well stocked, very clean, had plenty of plug-ins with USB ports by the bed stand. The bed was comfortable with extra pillows depending on the softness you wanted. We chose the room with an attached room with a bunk bed for our adult son who was traveling with us. This gave us privacy while not having to get two rooms. I would say a pocket door instead of a curtain would have been nice, however. Thank you Richard, it was a wonderful stay.

Perfect little stay with our 2 dogs. Richard is super welcoming, the place is very cute, very clean, very Scottish and a definite little gem. Breakfast was delicious and room facilities are fab and it’s perfectly placed to walk to the castle, old bridge and Wallace monument. If you don’t have a dog don’t worry as you’d never know dogs ever go there it’s so clean and fresh yet very dog friendly! Highly highly recommend!!!

A lovely guest house in the heart of Stirling and very dog (Freya) welcoming. Richard was a great host and gave us good tips on places to eat and drink in the town. A very comfortable room and delicious veggie breakfast, Don't miss out on a stay here, you won't regret it!

Munro Guest House is a cozy B&B in the center of Stirling. We had a loft room with one double and one single bed. It was warm and the host (Richard) placed a fan to cool it off, which it did by nighttime. The room was small but clean and adequate. Richard is a warm and engaging host. Paid parking was available on the other side of the street and is free on evenings and weekends. I believe it did not take a CCard, so you need change. Shops and restaurants were within easy walking distance . The breakfast had the usual selections from light to Scottish. I would stay there again.

Thank you for the thorough and positive review - I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Note: It is possible to pay for parking using a CCard via the mobile app, RingGo or, alternatively, Richard can pay using his app and just add the cost to the bill (the app is slightly more expensive than using cash)

Me and my friend Raluca have visited Stirling and its surroundings in May 2023 as the start of a longer stay in Scotland. Well, the stay at Munro Guest house confirmed what we had learned about the Scots : warm, funny, welcoming people! We had the nicest of stay in the nicest of houses, on a quiet elegant street but so close to the town centre and the Castle! The attic room we had was cosy and snug with a modern spacious bathroom. The breakfast, however, was the "piece de resistance": I was determined to have a Full English/ Scottish breakfast every day and I was very satisfied with it (hot off the pan, courtesy of our kind host) - and as a bonus I was able to enjoy the vegan version on one of the days! We warmly thank Richard (and his sweet dog) for their kind welcome!

5 mins walk from the station on a quiet but centrally located street. Excellent host, good for tourist advice or just a chat. Superb breakfast cooked to order. Room we had at the top was very small but had its own shower room. All in all, superb value
