We stayed here for two nights pre and post the Pink Ribbon Walk. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast freshly cooked and buffet/continental available too. Not sure I want to give a review as this is one of my "little secrets". Love having a weekend away here, great spa, fantastic facials and really really good classic british food. a weekend away here is almost as good as a week away somewhere sunny (when you factor out the airport/flight stress etc)

The Spread Eagle was a wonderful hotel, our stay felt really luxurious and we were well looked after at all times. The food in the restaurant was simply fabulous - perfectly cooked, juicy meat, good selection of cheese on the cheeseboard, very reasonably priced quality wines...could not fault it at all. We stayed in Spread Eagle hotel a week ago. The building is absolutely fantastic, quite vast, very old and stylish. This is the reason we chose it. But it comes to be a bit disapointing when you reach your room, if like us, you would stay in a normal room. The carpet is worn out, and the bathroom quite old....

We went to Midhurst, for a drive and stumbled across the Spread Eagle.We had 3 course lunch, which we both enjoyed very much.The food was delicious, well prepared and cooked to a high standard.Extensive wine list, very friendly staff and atmosphere.Other customers seemed a bit on the posh side,but we didn't let that spoil our lunch.Our money is as good...

We had a stopover here for one night whilst doing a charity cycle ride through the South Downs. Staff were extremely helpful, with Horace Yearwood-Grazette going out of his way to ensure the Cyclists muddy clothes and shoes were cleaned up ready for the next day. Food in restaurant was lovely as was breakfast
The mud is Sussex is particularly sticky, we are sorry we could not organise a drier day! It was a joy having you here and we are so pleased you raised so much money well done. We hope to see you very soon with the better weather. Many thanks for you comments our deamon washer is so pleased.

On the plus side this hotel has a fabulous pool and spa area. Very relaxing, clean and staff were helpful. Unfortunately the hotel itself was a disappointment. The rooms we stayed in were small and in need of some refurbishment. Carpets in some areas were very worn. All of this could have been forgiven if the food at dinner had...
