I booked the Sawmill nearly a year ago so long time coming! I took my BMW F650GS for a ride up to north Devon, staying at the Sawmill which was the perfect spot to try out the lovely roads in that area. My stay was great, this family run pub was freindly welcoming and wonderful flat car park for my bike.... More

This was our third visit and we'll be back again. The food is so good, generous portions and excellent value. Would recommend to anyone. Just wish it was nearer to home. We had lunch while staying at a nearby hotel. This is a really good english traditional pub.

A lovely little pub on the coast of devon i would definitely recommend to stay at. I(20) took my mum(58) away for a relaxed weekend for three nights at the start of september. We were looking for somewhere not too expensive to stay bed and breakfast that was in a nice area and convenient location - and thats exactly what... More

We only ate at the resturant and did not stay. Considering it is in a tourist area you would think they would make a little more effort. The Sunday carvery finished at 14:00, we arrived before then and it had already been cleared away. We ordered from the main menu and our first two options were out of stock. The... More

we stayed overnight at the sawmill whilst on a charity motorcycle ride to the four furthermost corners of the British Isles four our local Childrens hospice Hope House. We arrived quite late but were greeted warmly and promptly shown to our rooms The rooms were spacious, well furnished and clean. The en suite was a little smaller than we would have... More

We had a meal here on the way home after a day out. The menu was quite impressive at a glance but when the meals came it was just average pub grub and nothing special at all. It was quite pricey too for the quality all in all wouldn't return for the food but a decent pint of real ale.

Dropped in by chance on a wet bank holiday, the menu catered for all tastes and the food was piping hot and excellent value for money. The bar had a large selection of beers and lagers, the tables were clean and well spaced out so you never felt crowded even though the place was full. Will be back for more,... More

I don't like to write bad reviews as I feel a bit sorry for the business owners.... But I'm just being honest. We camped at the campsite next to the pub so were very happy with the location of the pub. The food was what we would usually class as 'cheap and cheerful' which is ok as long as that... More

My wife and I booked a four night stay here and had a lovely time. On arrival, a very nice chap called Don, showed us to our room and told us what was what, and where was where etc. We had room number 2. It was very nice, clean and a nice comfy bed. The duvet alone would have kept... More

Out of the four diners only one had the first selection on the menu! The food was very basic and poor quality! The resturrant itself had a shabby feel and the layout was all over the place! The Toilets Ladys & Mens were like a swimming pool and the decot looked like something from the early 80s. Tables were not... More
