Booked a 3 night break for my husband & myself. Chose the Foxhunters Inn due it's accessability to nearby attractions. On arrival we were greeted by Mike, the owner, who checked us in immediately and took us to our room. We stayed in room 1 which was a 4 poster with views out onto the front & main road. ~Don't... We stayed here for two nights and now wish we had chosen somewhere else, it was on a dangerous bend of a fast road and the car park was opposite which made it hard to get bags across. Anyone with mobility problems don't risk it. The welcome was difficult, like they wished we had chosen somewhere else too, but worse... More

Stayed one night when we were travelling around..Thought it was a nice place. Mick the Landlord was very friendly, Nice breakfast in the morning. Was upgraded to the four poster room with no extra charge and without even asking. Mick was a friendly chap to talk to and interesting. More

The car park is across the road of a very busy road - not easy trying to cross so beware if you have maobility problems or small children. The room was ok - nothing special. But the worse thing ever was the food. Disgusting! We had travelled all day & were so grateful that we had arrived - only to... More

My husband and I had the misfortune to stay at the Foxhunter Inn. Foolishly I had not carried out any checks on the Foxhunter Inn before booking it. We had booked for two nights – one was bad enough. As we arrived late we did not feel that it was prudent to start looking for other accommodation at that time... More

On arrival we found the car park on the opposite side of a fast stretch of the A361 road making it difficult for my disabled wife to cross. We then had to pay the total amount before being given the key. The access stairs were dark and steep, not what we were told. The room was very small, dingy and... More

Like other guests that have reviewed I was asked to pay before even seeing the room. The bed was of extremely poor quality, I could feel all the springs of the matress and the pillows were solid lumps. I was sharing a twin room with my 12 year old son and he is a fab sleeper but he woke up... More

The foxhunters and bookings.com advertised four poster bed in which we stayed however was misleading as was a bad imitation four poster bed curtains were only half way round the bed and one curtain was dirty. The first thing we were asked to do was to pay for the room before we had even seen it, and we were not... More
