Went to visit family with partner and 2 and half year old. They put us on the top floor the room was freezing cold even though they knew we had arrived early in the day. There were flys in the room. Super quiet and pretty location. Lovely old house full of character. Comfortable rooms, friendly hosts and good choice of breakfasts. Also enjoyed playing with the selection of old fashioned games in the Bar instead of watching TV. Would heartily recommend and we will be going back for a longer stay

Jenny and Roger are wonderful friendly hosts and very helpful with advice and ideas. The hotel is in a quiet pretty location surprisingly close to the town. Very comfortable rooms and Jenny's breakfast choices are superb. Would highly recommend for anybody seeking a quiet holiday and a base for the beaches or the Exmoor countryside

Exactly as described. Friendly welcome, comfortable beds, excellent breakfasts peaceful country location. Would heartily recommend to anybody looking for a relaxing break.

We stayed in Ilfracombe and were disturbed by seagulls and other noise. Driving out of the town helfway up the hill on the A361 we discovered Score Valley, and had stumbled upon an oasis of peace and tranquility hidden amongst the trees.
