Had a one night stay , recommended by a family member who had stayed at the Metropolitan a month earlier . Wow what a real find , clean comfortable and real quality with great little touches and real attention to detail wherever you look . Great towels , quality bedding and an even better breakfast . this was our first time in whitley bay and at the metropolitan and could not fault the hotel at all.the staff were very friendly and looked after us very well we even got a homemade cupcake each on arrival.the hotel is clean,tidy and i would definatley stay there again and highly reccomend to anyone!

We chose the Metropolitan based on location and online reviews and were certainly not disappointed. We were immediately made welcome, the room was clean and well furnished and the breakfast was excellent. Good value for money, we would recommend the Metropolitan.
