I've stayed here 3 times now and enjoy it more each time. It gets all the basics right - comfortable rooms, decent showers, good food (excellent steaks), friendly service, real ale, wifi that works. Parking can be tricky, but that applies to all the hotels round here. Excellent value-for-money.

Another great stay this time in an executive room with lounge and a monster of a bed so big and comfortable there is lots of room in the lounge and I was able to do all my computer work in comfort plus the bathroom has a great powerful shower. Once again I cannot fault the service at the Mereside.

This family guest-house definitely provides the quality of a good hotel, and it adds the benefit of a personal welcome and individual service.
