We stayed one night here at the end of a walking break. There was a friendly greeting from Mrs Dawson, who meticulously went through everything we needed to know. Unfortunately, our room was dusty, and the beds uncomfortable. So much so that one of us had to put the duvet underneath them due to a lumpy mattress. Neither slept well.... More

St Georges Hotel was a very nice B&B. The owners were very friendly and the breakfasts were cooked to order and were excellent. The hotel is within walking distance of Shanklin High Street so it was very convenient when venturing out for evening meals etc and there was a lot of choice. The rooms were cleaned daily and there were... More

As we booked at the last minute this year, we were delighted to get a room at the St Georges. (Last year, we were out of luck.) This was our fifth visit and we knew just what to expect - good sized, clean, well apointed rooms, a quiet atmosphere, good service and Mick's almost legendary breakfasts! Needless to say, we... This hotel is located in a quiet residential area, but it is only a short walk to all the amenities. Trains, buses, shops, beach and Shanklin Old Village are all close by. I had a comfortable room and a good breakfast so was happy with my stay. More

An excellent bed and breakfast, and all you could ask for if you just want a comfortable place to sleep and eat in the morning! The rooms were comfortable, with an ensuite, tea making facilities and daily cleans. The breakfast in the morning was great, with a good spread to suit anyone, and very quick service too! The owners are... More

A perfect place to stay, if you seek a b&b with good service and a friendly - almost homely - atmosphere. More

We stayed here for 2 nights. The host Mick was very pleasant and worked very hard. It was no problem to him that we arrived later that anticipated. Breakfast was excellent and kept us going most of the day, although we found the hour slot for breakfast a bit restrictive. The room was small but adequate. It was nice and... More

We stayed at the St. George's House Hotel in Shanklin for 3 nights from 1 July to 4 July. The hotel has a cozy feel and a personal touch from the owners. From the moment we walked in, we felt very comfortable and relaxed. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The hotel is conveniently located about 2 blocks easy... More
