Spot on this hotel, right in the city centre, close to restaurants, cathedral, shops and theatre. Car parking good but watch your sat nav setting, finding the hotel and car park takes a bit of doing.Suggest you call the hotel for directions.

This hotel provided fairly standard budget accommodation, but the staff are exceptionally friendly making a stay very enjoyable. It is well situated for visiting the cathedral and other sights in Durham. I thought it was a little overpriced. All over the hotel are signs saying you can book a room at Premier Inns for £29. I stayed 3 nights in this hotel and everything was good there. During check-in I was warmly welcomed, got all necessary explanations about breakfast, payment, etc. Room was clean. Premier Inns are a cheap option but provide all you need for a City break. Our room was large, with a comfortable kingsize bed, wardrobe, teamaking facilities, T.V. hairdryer and an en suite bathroom. The best thing about Durham central though, was the staff.
