I had read about this place a while ago and was keen to give it a visit. Was really impressed with the service I got before we arrived - Connor was very flexible about arrival times etc. When we arrived he was really helpful about what to do in the area. The room we were in had a fantastic view... More

We booked this guest house for my birthday weekend because it was advertised as a hotel with a restaurant. When we arrived the restaurant was shut (permanently) leaving us with a drive of several miles to get an evening meal. Our room was very nicely decorated but strangely empty. Curain rails without curtains and picture hooks without pictures. During the... More

Visiting family in Barrow-in-Furness, Easter 2011, we decided to drive to Roa Island. We thought about lunch at the Roa Island Hotel but we COULD NOT find a menu on the notice board at the hotel perimeter so it ‘frightened us off’. Pity really because the views are spectacular and tranquil. We also peered through the side gate, the entrance... More

First Stay at Roa Island House, but we have visited the hotel and island several times before. We arrived to find it looked a bit closed, but rang the bell and Connor welcomed us. Great large room with 5 star German Bathroom en-suite. Comfortable King sized bed, view of the sea, lovely and warm in the room AND the public... More

We stayed at the Roa Island B&B with friends and were very warmly welcomed by Wayne. The outside of the building is a little shabby but don't let that put you off, the inside is nicely decorated and clean although some of the rooms still need to be updated a little. We ate dinner there, unfortunately Melissa was away so... More

We stayed at this hotel over August bank holiday and really enjoyed our stay. The room we stayed in was clean and nice to stop in. Its such a shame when previous guests do not respect the rooms as there was a little wear and tear. This however did not affect the stay at all. Even though we were closest... More
