Once again another fantastic stay. We have returned to this B&B for 15 years and will continue to do so Jeff and Howard the owners are fantastic people who always make you feel welcome. The breakfasts are brilliant See you again soon

The room was clean and tidy , although the bed a little soft for my liking and the breakfast good! The guys who run the B&B are brothers and welcoming to everyone, and knowledgeable on the local area .

We arrived after travelling all day and a guy took us up 2 flights of stairs (we carried our own luggage) to what can only be described as a small attic cupboard - no windows only 2 skylights. The room had a double and single bed and was small and shabby. I used the small bed which was very uncomfortable.... More

It is clean, comfortable and cosy with a beautiful lounge for the guests use. We could not have felt more at home. The brothers run an outstanding guest house and we loved it.

Just returned from our 4th stay at the melbourne Guest House, and will continue to come back every time we visit the beautiful lakes. We stay in one of the front bedrooms which is very nicely decorated, clean, comfortable bed, good shower and a really nice breakfast. We wanted a double and a single at a reasonable cost for a Friday & Saturday night and found what we wanted. £35 per person per night in the double and the single, staying 2 nights. Comfy enough double room (room 2 on 1st floor). Shower worked. Bathroom well ventilated but no radiator in there. Clean. Good breakfast. Friendly owner.... More

Another excellent stay at the Melbourne Guest House. We have been coming to this guest house twice a year for over 14 years (and will continue to do so) and it is still a great place to unwind and relax. I am very surprised at the negative comments that have been posted regarding the Owners being scruffy. This so Untrue.... More

I've just read 3 reviews about Melbourne Guest House and I could'nt disagree more. I've just been on a 2 night stay their and I couldn't fault it what so ever...The two brothers that run it are very helpful and extremely friendly, the room was clean and cosy and beautifully decorated.
