Spent a few days at The Angel having searched for a good pub with accommodation in the area. We weren't disappointed. Proper beer, good food, friendly staff, perfect location. We stayed in the Gatehouse, which was quiet and well appointed. Not too sure if it was worth £140 night but nice nevertheless. Very comfy bed!

My wife and I stayed here on the 27th April for 3 nights. We found the Angel Inn excellent in all areas. We ate in the restaurant 2 out of the 3 days and would highly recommend the food especially breakfast. The team were friendly and could not do enough to help.

Have eaten here every time we have visited Bowness and always been happy. Great food for lunch or diner, friendly and efficient staff and a warm welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. It is nice to sit outside, as there is a good view to watch the hussle & bussel of the town. Would visit again.

Great central location, views of the lake early morning, great rooms ! Food was fantastic, warm, friendly staff! Well worth a stay for all !
