How people can say that this hotel is not good must be mad as I travel throughout England with my job so stay in various hotels at least 3 times a month sometimes more. Used to stay here when it was The Leading Lights hotel 12 years ago, a great couple used to run it. Now, what a difference a decade makes. Only good point left, is the location. Rooms are really shabby, not properly cleaned, food has gone downhill. Ruined great memories of a once great little hotel, new owners just don't care.

i have never stayed in such a drab,dismal,rundown, neglected hotel. Carpets were filthy, chipped wallpaper and paint. No hot water in en suite the day we arrived. Tiny sink with shelf about 3 inches above it so impossible to wash properly. Dirty shower Bleach spilt on carpet,stains on ceiling rooms smelt musty. A complete waste of my hard earned money.... More
