Found pub early evening after working locally. Staff nice, room nice right on top floor which suits us as its quiet. Bar man helpful by recommending where to eat natives friendly and great breakfast just a little later than would prefer 8:30am first orders!!! Would defiantly stay again :)
arrangements were made on friday afternoon, the actual hotel was more of a b&b which we didn;t expect, the room was musty , very dusty ,the actual shower ran cold water , even though a notice saying let water run for 3 minutes and it will be hot what a joke, as for friendly forget it, the actual shower head...

Great rooms, friendly staff, excellent breakfast and ideal location. Just across the road from the train station, 5 minutes walk to the fantastic beach and a great base for our holidays. Graham and Hazel were the perfect hosts, nothing was ever too much troublet, lots of advice on where to go and what to see and the pub downstairs was...

Where to start?…… I know – DON’T GO THERE!!! The website is the most misleading website I have ever seen. The Somerset Hotel is in an area full of louts, tramps and prostitutes!! There is NO warm welcome. The landlady and landlord are not around (possibly because they are up all night playing loud music followed by shouting and banging...
