I stayed at Hollands wood with my family and 3 friends it was a great site. Even though our caravan want covered in mice droppings because it had been parked in our field so long, we felt welcomed by the people and animals. Cycling around the area was great there was loads to explore and the town was alright too.... More

we have been to this site 5 times now and i am afraid this time was not the best. it was quite noisy at times from young drunken revellers at night disturbing the night to the toilets and showers not at there best. I was told by a member of staff that since being taken over by c@c a better... More

We had a short break at Hollands Wood Campsite, which was most enjoyable.Plenty of Country walks. Wild horses and cows around your tent, and deer in the woods and listening to the owls at night were amazing. Finding a pitch to put your tent can be a little tricky, but the facilities were good. I don't enjoy camping, but really enjoyed... More

Had a lovely time here for 5 days with my husband and 3 daughters (aged 7, 5 & 1) at the end of August. Of course, the weather helped as it was sunny & dry the whole time, but the lovely facilities, good showers & friendly staff aided our enjoyment! We found it quite tricky to get a good spot... More

Absolutely restored all my wonderful memories of camping in the UK. From when we first arrived and our friendly welcome by one of the site's rangers to spending our whole weekend in the rain - it was brilliant. The site is long and thin so take your time pitching. You can role your car right up next to your tent... More

Very nice campsite with very good facilities. Only let down was the very noisy busy road alongside the campsite and the fact that when it rains the whole site seems to flood. However it seems a very good place for families as the kids can freely run around. Very child friendly with ranger activities and easy access to the New... More

It was the end of the school holidays when we arrived but even do it was tricky finding a pitch. The toilets and showers were very clean but the noise from the road traffic ruined the 'idyllic' setting. A few idiots kept us awake but that is just luck. Otherwise do not hire bikes from Trax - the bikes supplied... More

We had booked to stay at Hollands Wood for Bank Holiday weekend with some friends. We arrived (2 people of a party of 6) at about 2.30pm to be welcomed to a waterlogged campsite. While the rain is obviously beyond the control of the campsite, we soon learnt that the campsite was in the process of ringing other visitors to... More

We went to Hollands wood campsite for our 1 year wedding anniversary and stayed for 3 nights. The campsite staff were very friendly and more than helpful. We booked online as we knew that they would be busy over the bank holiday weekend and paid £84. When we turned up they told us that if you just turn up without... More

Recently stayed at holland wood campsite with my wife & 2 children & many friends & the spot is v, nice but very big. To big if you have young kids as you can't keep an eye on them. Also you can't have open fires which is a real shame. The other thing is that the site is close to... More
