This campsite was ok. The facilities are some of the best i've experienced at a camp site (warm showers that didn't cool down!). However, we were told we were staying in high-season and therefore would have to pay full price (we were already spending more than we usually do to pitch our own tent on a section of someone's grass).... i just got back from camping with some friends at braclands campsite. We had a good time but we have a few complaints. The toilets firstly were far away from our lorry and caravans so we had a 5-10 minute walk to the toilets as the one closest block to us was closed for the whole time we were there. Also the staff... We have stayed at this site a few times of the last 10 years. The last stay was good. The toilet blocks are old but clean and the showers are warm and work well. Reception staff were helpful and freindly. At £15 per pitch per night it was good value too. We will return.

I have just spent my first week at Bracelands as I have put my caravan there for the season. I looked at many places to put my caravan and Bracelands was definately the best. There is a relaxed feel to this camp site, the wardens are not too stuffy telling me where I should park my car and how much... More

We Stayed here in the Christchurch part of the site for a long weekend at Easter, checking in fairly reasonable. but pitches for campers that wanted electric were a bit cramped, and we were informed that we had pitched our tends wrongly, 2 days in. Had there been guidance when pitching and marked bays would have been easier. THE WATER... More

Bracelands is a huge sloped field surrounded by trees with the hook ups cheek by jowl and two out of the three toilet blocks in a disgusting state of disrepair. To add insult to injury they close the only decent toilet block 10 am-1pm every day 'for cleaning'. I don't know what thier definition of cleaning is but it's not... More

I don't know where these other reviewers leaving bad comments have stayed but they can't have been staying the same place we did! We stayed for 3 nights in one of the pre erected "EuroTents", everything in the tent was clean and tidy for our arrival. We were provided with rechargeable lanterns (which were surprisingly bright!) and ice packs for... More

lovely site in the forest with very friendly helpful staff. However the shower blocks weren't very clean and the toilets were often blocked, there weren't enough showers and on the whole they were cold and not very powerful. The rest of the site was well maintained and clean .Wouldn't revisit this site unless they refurb the facilities.

We stayed over the August bank holiday day weekend when the site was at full capacity. There was only 10 showers for men and 10 showers for women for over 500+ pitches. It was extremely disappointing. Queues for the showers toilets and wash basin could be up to 1 hour....Best to get up and shower at 7am as we did... More
