This is a recently refurbished Wetherspoons and is a large multi tabled restaurant and bar. Very good quality warming food served promptly and tastes fresh. Good selection of beers. Best pub grub in town at affordable prices too.

7 of us stayed at the hotel for my mums 70th birthday, the rooms are lovely more like a boutique hotel, the hotel is above the pub but the noise is horrendous. (the family rooms are to the back of the hotel and did not have this noise trouble) Although the pub has a smoking garden the people tend to...

Only used the pub part for an evening meal, did not use the hotel. This is a Weatherspoons establishment and is one of their better ones.
Got there at 6.30 and just found the last table. Like other Weatherspoons establishments this place is quite large.
Went for the rump steak and pint of beer which was under £9 and was...

Myself, my husband and 9 year old son stayed here on Sat 3rd March whilst visiting relatives. Its a JD Wetherspoons hotel/pub. We booked via LateRooms.com at £55 for the family room (room only) which was cheaper than booking direct with the hotel.
We arrived at 5.30pm and there was space to park on the road outside. I was informed...

Having previously stayed at a Wetherspoons Hotel I booked this post Christmas short break so we could get away and relax without it breaking the bank. We were more than happy with everything. The room looked like it had been recently refurbished and was very tastefully decorated. The facilities provided were excellent - free view tv and a bath not...

For a good evening out go here. Drinks at reasonable prices and staff are great. What recession??? The place was packed out!!!!!
Booked via laterooms for £30 (room only), this was one of the best places I've stayed for the money. I've stayed in worse for at least twice the price. I must mention that on arrival the lady on reception was incredibly helpful and pleasant. It was a good start after a 380 mile drive. The evening meal and breakfast was...

We stayed here for 2 nights, the rooms were lovely the service and food/drink in the bar was exeptionally good value for money. We had a small problem with the plugs in the bath and sink but this was sorted out straight away.
Stayed here on 12/11/11 found the rooms to be of a very high standard. No lifts so not really suitable for people with access issues, but only two floor levels to climb. All the staff we encountered were excellent in the hotel, bar and restaurant without exception. Would recommend this hotel for short stay.
