Having Completed the 4 mile walk around the harbour,we stopped off at the Old Ferry Inn for a well earned beverage and light lunch before catching the Ferry over to Fowey. I have to disagree with “Shabby but not Chic”. Certainly it was not “Chic” and yes is was probably a bit tired but our room was spotless and our bathroom (not en suite) was also very clean and towels changed when requested. The staff were lovely – especially Pete. I would go there again. Great value for money.

Our weekend away to celebrate my birthday was ruined. We paid £95 per night for room 7 what a con! Tired uninspiring room. Carpet in bathroom put us off straight away. Stayed with another couple on a 2 night BB and Evening meal package, our room was right at the top in the newer section and had an amazing view from two aspects, one across to Polruan and the other looking across the river to Fowey. The deal was very good value the Pub was quiet and the food was excellent.... More
