Stayed locally and found the hotel to be within walking distance and they accept dogs. Walking into the hotel the reception was very much like any other hotel - but then you go into one of two lounges and the time warp hits in and " hey - you're back in the early 1900's ...." We attended a wedding at the Graythwaite Manor Hotel and stayed overnight. The bedrooms were small and crowded with furniture which made it almost impossible to open the wardrobe doors. Food was brilliant and grounds were lovely. Only problem was room was a little cold but with a heater in the room this was quickly solved. I will be visiting back again in the spring and I will always recommend this to anyone

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Graythwaite Manor. neither of us had ever visited Grange or Cartmel before. Despite the mainly overcast skies the visit was delightful.
