Staff were excellent here. A much better experience than most other travelodges I have stayed in and for the price; a really good deal. Clean, efficient, friendly helpful and comfortable. Quiet too considering how nr the motorway it is. Little Chef next door was also surprisingly good.

We recently booked to stay here on the night of our friends wedding. We booked in advance and even rang up the morning of our arrival date to confirm we would be ok to check in at 12 midnight as we were all day guests at the wedding, we were told this was fine and there would be no problem.... Travelodge are undergoing a major national refurbishment programme. Where better to start than at this Travelodge, which must qualify as one of the most needy in the chain. Bathrooms, bedrooms, furnishings and reception are all ideal candidates for cleaning, repairing, painting and upgrading. And when they've finished they can start on the adjacent Little Chef which is short on basics... More

Returning from a funeral in Cambridge this was a convenient and cheap (£19 per room) option to break the journey. Check in was painless, staff helpful and friendly. Recommendation for The White Lion at Colsterworth for our evening meal was a huge bonus (see seperate review). We had two rooms at the back of the hotel, noise was not an... More

After my first room allocated was still showing signs of the previous occupant, i was moved to a room which despite the strong smell of bleach, was up to usual Travelodge standards adequate, warm enough. The only downside to this stop is the constant noise from the traffic on the A1 which is situated about 75 yards from the front... More

Stayed for 2 nights. The bed was not made for the 2nd night. There were no tea bags in the room beacuse of a shortage on the 1st night . The soap, which we used the first night was removed leaving No soap for the 2nd day. The extractor fan cover, in the bathroom, had not been cleaned for months... More

Booked for one night as going to an engagement party in nearby South Witham. The room cost £25.50, not too bad a price, but having paid only £19 a night previously in Premier Inn Durham, there is just no comparison in quality. The room was generally grubby, plenty of dust and cobwebs, and the light fitting was full of dead... More

Stayed at this New Fox Grantham travelodge for the weekend at a bargain price. I don't like to grumble with it being so cheap, but being a regular Travelodge stayer we wasn't impressed. It was very poor decor and cleanliness to all the others we'd stopped in. Two rooms booked. One was dirty, and rusty radiator, the other stunk of... More

We stayed at the South Witham Travelodge with a group of friends when we visited Melton Mowbray for the food and drink festival. It was easy to get to, set well back from the road, quiet and very clean. The staff were incredibly helpful, parking was easy and free. We dined at the Blue Cow which is a 20 min... More
