Interesting building, good location, lovely garden. Handy for Rockingham Race Track. House was clearly an oap/care home at some point and it looks like it hasnt changed since then. Rooms are basic, old fashioned and in need of updating but otherwise comfortable and acceptable. Some rooms only have an ensuite loo and no shower/bath. Service and food fine. Good value... More

We stayed during the bad weather in early December, the local roads were well gritted and the owners had cleared tracks from the room to the main house for breakfast and we parked on a gravelled area so had no problems with getting in and out. The breakfast was fantastic and the knowledge of the local area was even better... More

Good value for money, clean, good service. Was in economy rooms which were clean. Excellent flat screen TV. Lovely views. Service good and efficient. Good knowledge on what to do and history of Rutland Lakes. Not modern.
