We have just returned from our second stay at this hotel. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and had booked a four poster room.Upon our arrival, we were lucky enough to have been upgraded to a suite(with a 4 poster).! There is nothing to fault this hotel at all...the setting if brilliant, the rooms immaculate and the people very welcoming... More

Why do we keep coming back? Good old fashioned service along with excellent food to suit all tastes. Highly recommended either for staying or just calling by for a meal.

We have been going to the Old Court Hotel for several years. Everytime we stay we are met by friendly, cheerful and polite staff. The owners Tourie & Jono always find the time to talk to us even when they are really busy. We always feel they value our custom and are genuinly pleased to see us. The hotel is... More

We booked this hotel for a quiet weekend away. I was rung a few days before our holiday and was informed that there would be a party going on in the hotel bar below our room until 23:30 on saturday night and was asked if this would be a problem for me. We weren't thrilled with the idea as the... More

I visited here this weekend with my two little dogs. Lovely quaint and pretty hotel, very clean, polite and friendly staff. Room was clean and tidy, could do with a little bit of updating, especially in the bathroom but did the job and lovely view from the patio doors. Although was pre-warned of birthday party on the Saturday night and... More

Thank you for your review about The Old Court Hotel We are pleased that you generally enjoyed yourselves on your visit. I have taken on board your feedback about the dog issues and interestingly we had face to face feedback from the guests staying in the room next door to yoursabout the noise of the dogs during your stay. Due... More

Went for a drive today for my wife's birthday and stumbled across this lovely looking place. As we were looking for somewhere to eat that had outside facilities it looked great. What wasmore pleasing was that they allowed dogs, the back gardens out back were very lovely with plenty of seating and a nice view. The menu was very good... More

We chose the Old Court Hotel for our eldest daughter's wedding in March 2012 because of its location, atmosphere, and the very positive first impression we had when we met Tori and her staff. We have not been disappointed. In fact the occasion surpassed all expectations. As with any wedding, you hope (and pray) that your guests will like the... More

Travelling from Cardiff to the North I decided to break up the journey and seek a hotel which would suit my needs and include free wi fi so that i could work. I did look at the reviews and they were not all good BUT I found the hotel clean and my room "Good Hope" although compact was comfortable and... More

Great Looking Hotel, Pub, B&B, & Restaurant, nice Bar, and Conservatory (heated by log fire in winter) Ok looking pub menu and expensive restaurant menu, nice choice, but again quite pricey. - I would go back but in a better room. The Standard Room is i'm afraid to say below Travelodge quality in the bathroom, HOWEVER the rest of the... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. I understand your comment about the bathrooms and we are aware we need to invest in them. As a privately owned hotel, there is not a abundance of capital to upgrade. The hotel is a 25 year project which we are 6 years into. We have focused more on the... More

Thank you for your review and please accept my apologies that your wife found her gammon dry. I understand you don't like to make a fuss, but if you don't tell us when you are here we can't rectify it. I am glad though that you enjoyed your Venison Pie, one of our signature dishes. More
