mostly good, rather more a restaurant with rooms than an hotel, efficient staff but reception is often unmanned. Staying as a couple would be preferable as I think this is the hotels strength. This is one of the friendliest hotels my wife & I have stayed at. The owners certainly know how to make you feel at home. The hotel was warm despite the near zero temperatures outside . The junior suite had the most enormous comfortable bed. The food was beautifully cooked & presented. We would certainly like to return. First Class!

Stayed for just one night between Christmas and New Year - on an anniversary getaway A beauutiful setting and bulding. Evening meal was superbly cooked and presented - the dining room atmosphere and open fire perfect.

Nice location (river facing room), very clean and generously sized bedroom, satellite TV. Most impressive touch was reminder call for breakfast which was declined due to late night. Moments later a breakfast tray with freshly squeezed orange juice, toast and preserves was brought to the room. Very nice touch.
