Please be aware if staying at this hotel. The room was extremely dated. The furniture was falling to bits it smelled musty didn't look as though it had been hoovered for a long time. The electric sockets were split and were very dangerous. The bathroom had mould growing in the sink and around the bath and again the floor looked... More

Well on a very cold night we were on our way to Wolverhampton, and being turned down by a thousand hotel my final call was to Queen Victoria Hotel in Wolverhampton. Though its not a centrally-located hotel like the others but, trust me the stay was wonderful. Purely due to the warm reception of staff at reception and lady at... More

I stayed at this hotel in mid January. i booked a double en-suite bedroom for me and my partner. i booked the room for 2 nights which was around £50. The staff were very well mannered and polite. The staff allocated me to my room they were really easy to talk to. The breakfast the following morning was exceptionally tasty... More

You will go a long way to get a welcome that is as genuine and effusive as I got last week from a charming receptionist. 10 our of 10 but everything else was extremely disappointing. There was dried out mould on the walls, the furniture was dated and the room simply looked tired and unloved. All a bit 1970s. I... More

i stayed at this hotel but the internet gave a different image to what i saw. The hotel is shabby out of date and has no reference to regal feel the name portrays. Furnitue is old and fallin to bits bathrooms need seroius facelifts the beds are uncomfortable and generally the look is dated and loads of dust and dirt... More

I have stayed at this hotel several times and they never seem to put any work into making it aesthetically appealing. First time we stayed there, initial impression was a nakered car in the car park dents everywhere, broken ariels etc... looked like it was ready for the skip - so not a good impression. Service was ok, with a... More

stayed for nearly three weeks throughout july and august. it was for work, not pleasure. but the staff more than made up for a pretty shoddy hotel. don't get me wrong, with a bit of attention to detail, this place could be very nice. but it does need a bit of cosmetic work. we were checked in by lisa. who... I stayed at this hotel on a weekend in November 2006 and booked a double en suite room. The room was booked for two nights and I was quoted 49.00 pounds per night including breakfast. When I arrived I was welcomed by very friendly reception staff. I was offered help even to carry luggage, and the room was equiped with... More

I read the review that this hotel was "shabby" but others gave a more pleasant overview. Shabby is being polite this hotel needs some serious investment, broken bathroom panels, towel racks falling of wall, missing draws in cupboards, no chain for the bath plug just a piece blue carrier bag tied round it acting as pull. And the heating did... More

I booked a night at the Queen Victoria hotel in Wolverhampton after seeing pictures & descriptions on an internet hotel site. However, on arrival, I realised that internet & reality were far removed! The hotel appeared to be more like a hostel with chipped paintwork, peeling paper etc. On checking in they attempted to charge more than I had been... More
