I have just recently stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights on business and it was excellent. Friendly and efficient staff. Clean comfortable spacious room. The food was well cooked, tasty, good value and served by efficient friendly waitresses. I would thoroughly reccomend this establishment to anyone.

Such a pleasure to see some of the staff we knew from previous visits. All the staff are efficient, friendly & helpful, while the revamped building is very pleasant. Even though a wedding party was in full swing the day we stayed, everything went smoothly, and being in the old stable block we had no problem with noise. We have... More

Stayed on the weekend of the 28th - 30th April in a 'Superior' room. The room was of a good size with clean linen and a modern TV. That is where the good points end. Room needs decorating and new carpets and the bathroom modernizing. We were told we had a view of the garden. What they meant was, the... More

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your room and the breakfast. The Manor is a town centre hotel and as such the views are of other buildings. We do have a small garden and this room does over look this area. The Manor was refurbished in November 2011 and new carpets... More

Booked a deal to stay here only the week before. We chose to upgrade our room which meant we had a four poster and a view out from the front of the hotel - well worth the extra £10 a night! We were greeted by a smiling receptionist and directed to our room, which besides a bathroom also had a... More

The hotel was comfortable, large room, clean, only trouble was we were above a function room and the beer garden was outside our window. Not much sleep to be had as it was too noisy. The manager had no other available rooms so he found us another hotel for the following night. I must also add, my meal or ham,egg,... More

A very courteous greeting on arrival - and a minimum of form filling which is always good news. This hotel was very central to the town and convenient for the meeting I was attending during my stay. I was given a first floor room which was more spacious than many single rooms and very cleanly presented. The outlook onto a... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The recently refurbished Manor Hotel Yeovil is located in the Somerset town of Yeovil with easy access via the A303. An Ideal base if visiting Yeovilton, Sherborne. Built in 1735 by local glover and merchant banker John Daniel, the house was known as Hendford House. After he passed away the house was rented out until 1927 when it became The Manor Hotel. A manor it may not be, but it is certainly elegant enough to be one. Its classical facade and porch are of warm, mellow stone, and to its long single wing, also of stone. It has a cheerful modern bar with scrubbed floorboards and pale beechwood furniture and fittings. Today the hotel is a firm favourite with locals and travellers alike. You will be assured of a very warm welcome and great hospitality. Yeovil is the ideal spot from which to explore Hardy's Wessex. Nearby attractions include Glastonbury Abbey. ... more   less
