We went with 2 friends on a KGB deal, we are big fans of their offers, we had 2 nights B&B plus evening meal. As previous correspondents have reported the food is excellent in fact we ate in their restaurant the following night it was so good. We met the bell ringers from nearby St George's church & were given... More

We stayed here on a kgb deal and found it excellent value for money. The deal included breakfast for 2 days and an evening meal on the first night. The breakfast was one of the best we had for ages and we couldn't have managed the full English. Lovely bacon fresh eggs any why you like and tomatoes just right... More

We had a 2 night stay with a KGB deal....lovely old coaching inn situated in a quaint old village, almost opposite the church...plenty to see and do all round....2 nights B&B and a 3 course evening meal were included in our deal. The room was small and basic, decor a little tired, but warm and comfortable. Roaring log fire in... More

I took my husband, through KGB deals, for his 69th birthday. what delightful staff !! Especially Jackie and Holly, ask her about the exploits with a hair straightener, hilarious! The restaurant meal on our first night was quite incredible, homemade carrot and coriander soup and gravad lax followed by fresh haddock and lamb shoulder with rosemary jus. We were so... More

My family and I stayed a Friday and Saturday night and both nights the noise from the bar was unbearable more so on the Saturday night. It got so bad that I had to complain to the landlord at 12:45am. The rooms themselves were tired and in need of decoration although the room was clean. The television signal was poor... More

Stayed for 2 nights on a kgb deal. Be careful at what time you arrive, as the place closes between 3 and 5pm and you may be left waiting outside. Once inside, the staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was at the end of the upstairs corridor, and had a step down to the room door. Might be a... More

Friendly staff. Food was fantastic. The breakfast was lovely, but the evening meal was exceptional. All 3 courses were just perfect. Nothing else around here so if you want to drink, then its a cab journey or the bar downstairs which had friendly staff and locals. Rooms tired and mattress very springy. I informed the owner over a beer and... More

Had dinner at the George with friends who warmly recommended it. We had drinks in the attractive bar first which was empty when we arrived at 7pm on a Saturday night but quickly filled up. Shame they don't light the fires though. There's a great selection of beers including the local Hook Norton brews. At first sight the menu looks... More

We stayed in room 6 for 2 nights last month, the room was small but comfortable as was the on suite. the wardrobe was not in very good condition, we could not close the drawers, but this was probably due the the uneven floor. The dinners were excellent as was the breakfasts, we could not find fault. The bar was... More
