We booked all the cottages at Hurdlow Grange for ourselves and all our guest for our wedding weekend. Our guests and we were very happy with the accommocation. The cottages are beautiful and well equiped. The kitchen/living rooms are high spec, with solid wood floors, granite worktops, and plenty of tableware. Two of the cottages have lovely large 'communal' rooms,... More

I booked 4 of the properties at Hurdlow Grange for a weekend to celebrate my 40th Birthday with 28 friends. The booking process was easy and the team were only to pleased to help answer questions and make specific arrangements. The houses are very well kitted out and accommodation in most cases is great, the bunk room in Cruk'd Barn... More

I booked the Grange, the Bat's Belfry and the Cruck'd Barn for a weekend family reunion (27 of us in all, oldest 83, youngest not yet two) to celebrate my 70th birthday. I'd fallen in love at first visit with the magnificent beamed upstairs room in the Cruck'd Barn, and it proved ideal for a catered dinner by Peak District... More

We booked 2 of the cottages at Hurdlow (Amberleigh & Applegarth) for a 40th birthday weekend. Having 2 houses between 12 of us was perfect, as we could flit between the 2, use one mainly for social & chilling out, the other for more formal sit down meals over the weekend. Both properties were spotlessly clean, had 2 bottles of... More

We booked out Hurdlow Grange for a hen weekend and we had the most amazing experience. The cottage is absolutely gorgeous - newly refurbished, clean and modern with authentic touches. It is also spacious and has great communal space, including a pool table. What was great for 14 girls is that each bedroom is en-suite, so there was a bathroom... More

We had Cruck'd Barn (great sitting/dining area for a big group),and Applegarth for our family walking (and party!) weekend. We used the bunkhouse at the Royal Oak (really only a 3/4 mile easy walk) for extras joining us, and also ate there. The food was excellent and very varied and plentiful. Staff were all extremely helpful, and able to offer good... More

I held my hen weekend at Hurdlow Grange (in the Bats Belfry and Amberleigh House). There were 14 ladies, all of whom commented on the location, cleanliness and set out of the cottages - the Bat's Belfry was treated as the social area given its huge open plan environment, whilst Amberleigh was great to chill out in. The food at... More

We celebrated my husband's 40th birthday weekend at Hurdlow Grange, staying in The Grange and Cruck'd Barn. Every member of staff that we came into contact with, from our initial enquiry through to finally checking out, couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating. It took us a long time to find a venue that suited our needs and The Grange... More

The booking process was easy. The welcome friendly. The house, immaculate and beautifully situated. The countryside and walks, beautiful. A perfect weekend away. It is a long-way from amenities, so shop well to avoid having to make a 30 minute drive to pick up essential cooking ingredients. If you arrive late, like us and could not get to the shops,... More

We stayed at Hurdlow Grange in January 2012 for a 50th birthday. The cottages are beautiful and the surrounding area and views are lovley - even in the wind and rain! We had a meal at The Royal Oak pub down the road on the Saturday night and the food was wonderful. The staff are extremely helpful and we found... More
